John C. Lonardo, CCIM, is an Executive Vice President at NAI Miami | Fort Lauderdale and a 35-year veteran of the South Florida Real Estate commercial real estate market. Lonardo has transacted landlord and tenant representation sales in office, retail, and industrial product types totaling over 4.8 million square feet.
Over the past 23 years, John has worked in high-profile Coral Gables and Miami markets, completing notable retail and office leasing assignments, and sale transactions with top regional, national, local and international clientele, institutional landlords and owner/users.
Recently, John closed $60 million in sale transactions representing sellers in the disposition of property holdings and represented the clients for the acquisition of corporately guaranteed net leased properties utilizing the IRS 1031 Exchange program to reinvest the sale proceeds, defer taxes from capital gains, and create passive income. Lonardo is an active investor in multi-family and office properties in the Miami market.
John achieved the CCIM designation in 2002. CCIM is a global community of 13,000 members in 30 countries and are recognized as experts in real estate sales, leasing, asset management, market research, and investment analysis. John serves on the Board of Directors of the Florida Miami-Dade District and the CCIM Florida Chapter Scholarship Chair.
In addition to being active with CCIM, John also has served as a Director for South Florida Credit Union, is a Founder and Chairman for the Coral Gables American Cancer Society Relay for Life, and is a founding board member for Rise Charter School of South Dade. Extracurricular interests include road cycling, wine collecting, jazz and classical music, yoga, and travel abroad.
